ETF Trade Recommendations Based on Technical Analysis
My name is Craig Wells and I welcome you to ETF Technical Analysis! The intended purpose of this website is to analyze the various funds using technical analysis and then make trade recommendations according to the information drawn from that analysis.
There are many ways to trade in the markets from all around the globe. This market is only a small piece. In addition, ETF trading may not be for everyone; however, it can be a small part of any portfolio. Beginners can cut their teeth on this market before focusing on specific company stocks.
Experienced and professional traders use ETFs to participate in the broad market that the fund tracks. It eliminates hours of pouring over resources to find that perfect trade, that hidden jewel. If you choose, you do not have to dig through tons of material to find that special semiconductor company stock. If you believe the entire sector is set to move in any particular direction, you can trade accordingly using ETFs and catch the move of the entire sector.
Who can benefit from this website?
Beginner traders can definitely benefit from this website. You can follow my recommendations and learn how I make my trades based on solid data and technical analysis. I also have links available for resources to supplement your education process.
You may be an experienced trader and really do not need my advice. However, sometimes it is good to see how someone else reads a particular market. I check out many different websites in hope to discover something that I did not previously see in my own analysis. It is foolishness to think one has all the answers or the only answer. The markets prove that and often!
I have a bookstore called the ETF Technical Analysis Bookstore. This bookstore is beneficial to beginners as well as experienced traders. I have books specific to ETF trading, general technical analysis, Elliot Wave analysis, Fibonacci numbers, moving averages, candlestick charting, and Swing Trading. View my bookstore and see if there are any books that may benefit your growth as a successful trader.
The tools I use!
As the title indicates, I am a technical trader. I use various types of tools when analyzing markets. I implement Elliott Wave Analysis and Fibonacci tools, which gives me a guidepost to help me predict probable future moves. I use Swing Trading Techniques such TAZ (Trader Action Zone –the area between two moving averages). I rely on support and resistance levels and moving averages. I have tried many systems in the past and insisted that the more complex the system the better it had to be. Experience proves otherwise. I have found that keeping it simple is the easiest and most reliable.
Experience has also taught me what not to do. I have made the costly mistakes. I intend to guide you to profitable investing without making the same mistakes I made. I will protect you with stop loss levels in case the trade moves against us. I will give expected target levels where we can take profits so we do not give it back. I hate it when that happens. It makes you feel like an idiot! Remember, greed and fear moves markets. We do not want either one to run us over.
These are the type of ETFs I chart and make recommendations on.
If you are interested in investing in gold, we have 7 funds to trade. If you are interested in investing in silver, we have 2 funds. We have 7 funds for crude oil, 6 funds for financials, and 15 index funds. The sectors we follow will expand as demand dictates. Whether you are interested in gold investing, silver investing, crude oil, or index investing, we have it here.
I make recommendations on Bull ETFs, which increase in price as the index that it tracks increases. I also make recommendations on Bear ETFs; which increases in price as the index that it tracks decreases. Therefore, you do not have to be stuck on one side of the market with no hope of making money.
TAZ or Traders Action Zone.
I have a page dedicated solely to short term trades based on TAZ. TAZ is a Swing Trade method utilizing the area between two moving averages. Click on the navigation button “ETF TAZ” for more information if you are not familiar with TAZ. I have four different pages under ETF TAZ. I have watch lists for long positions and short positions. I also have pages for the active trades for both long and short trades.
What about IRA Accounts?
This is great for IRA accounts, for they do not allow for futures, options, or short sells. However, IRA accounts do allow for ETF purchases of Bear Funds, which you can actually make money in a declining market. I believe that the buy and hold philosophy is dead. So, take advantage of ETFs and my recommendations for wealth accumulation.
